Flag Drop-Off Boxes

In 2012, the HTPC also was instrumental in obtaining two old mailboxes which were repainted and identified as flag retirement drop-off locations for old and tattered flags. One box is located at the Ecological Facility and the other is located at the Maintenance Building in Veterans Park. In partnership with Mercer County, each year a Flag Retirement Ceremony is conducted in Veterans Park to dispose of the flags.
